Artist Statement
My pieces largely focus on surface decoration. I use a combination of collage, drawing, and painting to create surface patterns that reflect my environment. I am drawn to vibrant colors and how shape responds to form. I want each angle of the piece to be surprising. My work is playful and intuitive leading to surface pattern developed in the moment of making. This creates an innate uniqueness to my work. I aim to produce work that is both alluring and practical. My goal is for each piece to spark joy and evoke that playful energy.
